Even after making hundreds of custom fondant figures, I still get nervous sometimes.

When someone trusts me to create a figure of their child or loved one, I want it to be just right. That little voice of self-doubt still pops up from time to time.

When it does, I remind myself to take a deep breath, remember all the happy customers I’ve had over the years, and keep creating. Every figure teaches me something new, and every one helps me become a better artist.

If you’ve ever felt nervous before starting a project, you’re not alone. The goal isn’t to never feel fear—it’s to create anyway. ❤️

One of my favorite parts of creating custom cake toppers is making each child feel seen. 💕

Every little detail matters to me—from their hairstyle to their eye color and skin tone—because I want each figure to truly represent the child it’s made for.

For this sweet mermaid, I loved capturing her beautiful tan skin and warm brown eyes. Seeing a child recognize themselves in a cake topper makes all the extra time and care worth it.

I believe every child deserves to see themselves celebrated. 🧜🏽‍♀️✨

For years I worked on my feet for 12+ hours at a time making cakes. I loved creating, but eventually my body let me know something had to change. Plantar fasciitis and heel spurs made even walking painful.

These days, I still make cakes, but I’ve created a better balance by spending more time sitting while making fondant figures for my Etsy shop. Not only has it helped me build another income stream, but it’s also allowed me to do something I never thought I’d enjoy again… run. 🏃‍♀️💕
